Not only do I like to watch movies, but I love watching shows/series as well. I’m always looking to get into an interesting show that has many seasons. I watch them at night when I’m winding down and getting ready for bed. Sometimes I get so hooked on a show that I end up watching 6 or more episodes, and next thing I know it’s 2am.
The show that I’ve just started watching is Californication. It was created by Tom Kapinos and started airing in August of 2007 and went on for 7 seasons. It’s a comedy/drama series, and I totally recommend it!
You’re Going To Get Hooked!
The main character, Hank Moody, is a writer from New York that moves out to California. He’s written a few successful novels, and one that was made into a movie. He’s been suffering from writers block and can’t seem to write anything.
The show follows him through his relationship with Karen, his ex-girlfriend, who is a very pretty woman. They also have a daughter together. Karen and Hank still have a lot of emotions between them, even though Karen has tried to move and and is engaged to get married.
Hank hasn’t moved on, emotionally… he runs around every night with different women, but hasn’t been in any committed relationships. Hank is always getting himself into some kind of little mess that ends up biting him in the butt. I really love his character as he keeps you engaged.
I was telling a friend the other night about the show, and he said now he’s hooked watching it as well. He said he’s been closing the door to his office and catching an episode during the day at the office. He runs his own Long Island limo service so he’s able to do that
Hanks A Good Dad
The one thing he pointed out was that he felt that Hank was a really good father in the show. I agree with that, he really is, even with all the crazyiness going on personally and in his business. He is really good with his daughter. Yes he has his moments where he forgets things, but overall he is a good dad.
If you’re looking for a good show to sink your teeth into, watch Californication. It has 7 seasons worth of episodes so you’ll be busy for a little bit. I’ve noticed that when a show ends, I get some kind of separation anxiety. Sounds funny but I really get connected to the characters when it’s a good show. That’s why I always look for shows that have a long season history so I can stay watching for a while.
If you have a movie or a show that you think is awesome, let me know. I’d love to watch it if I haven’t already and share info about it here on my website. You can contact me here to let me know about it.
