Not only do I like to watch movies, but I love watching shows/series as well. I’m always looking to get into an interesting show that has many seasons. I watch them at night when I’m winding down and getting ready for bed. Sometimes I get so hooked on a show that I end up watching 6 or more episodes, and next thing I know it’s 2am.
The show that I’ve just started watching is Californication. It was created by Tom Kapinos and started airing in August of 2007 and went on for 7 seasons. It’s a comedy/drama series, and I totally recommend it!
You’re Going To Get Hooked!
The main character, Hank Moody, is a writer from New York that moves out to California. He’s written a few successful novels, and one that was made into a movie. He’s been suffering from writers block and can’t seem to write anything.
The show follows him through his relationship with Karen, his ex-girlfriend, who is a very pretty woman. They also have a daughter together. Karen and Hank still have a lot of emotions between them, even though Karen has tried to move and and is engaged to get married.
Hank hasn’t moved on, emotionally… he runs around every night with different women, but hasn’t been in any committed relationships. Hank is always getting himself into some kind of little mess that ends up biting him in the butt. I really love his character as he keeps you engaged.
I was telling a friend the other night about the show, and he said now he’s hooked watching it as well. He said he’s been closing the door to his office and catching an episode during the day at the office. He runs his own Long Island limo service so he’s able to do that
Yep, I said it out loud… I like the movie Pretty Woman. It’s okay, I’m in touch with my feminine side:)
No matter how old this movie gets, it’s one that you can watch over and over. It’s definitely on my list of top 10 favorite love story movies. I think the first time I watched this movie was when I was 10 years old with my sisters. They watched this movie every day! No lie.. every single day, for like a few months.
Pretty Woman is probably my favorite Julia Roberts movie, and I’ve seen a LOT of her movies… and I must not be the only one since it’s one of the most successful romantic comedies, with an estimated gross income of $463.4 million.
I think Julia Roberts played her role so well. She truly transformed from a Hollywood prostitute into a sharp professional woman in the end. Richard Gere’s role stood right there next to hers. It was great to see how his mindset shifted, from just a night or weekend of fun to a life of love. I’m a sucker for a good love story!
One of my favorite scenes from the movie was when Edward, played by Richard Gere, leaps from the white limo and then climbs the fire escape up to Julia Roberts. They used a Huntington limo, a white one to be exact. I think every woman dreams of having a night in shining armor, and I think this scene was the perfect metaphor for that.
Welcome to celebrity-archive-movies.com!
I’m excited to roll out this website. I’ve been thinking about doing it for a while now, and the time finally feels right! I’ve always been the one to share movies with friends and others, figured why not with the world now.
I’m definitely a movie fanatic, and addicted to Netflix. It’s the only thing I watch. I got rid of cable a few years back, and hello Netflix… and it’s been love ever since
Not sure if I have a favorite genre of movies, since I’m always all over the board with what I watch… but I am a sucker for a Romantic Comedy. I just love happy endings, when the guy gets the girl. I guess it’s what I want in the end for myself, lol.
That’s not all I like, I’m always watching anything that seems interesting.
So I’ll be sharing my thoughts about the movies I watch, and recommending it if I think it’s something good for you to put on your list of movies to watch, and I’ll also love recommendations from you to add to my list.
This will be fun, and a great experience for all of us. So please feel free to share and join in the party
